The Harry’s name and dancing flies logo is licensed to this otherwise-unconnected-bar by the famous venue in Paris. Don’t expect decades of character, dusty school pendants or the accompanying atmosphere of the Parisian original, this Frankfurt impersonator only opened in 2001 and is housed in the basement of a modern, character lacking hotel. However, thanks to the skills of its experienced bar staff this particular Harry’s does offer excellent cocktails, truly attentive friendly service, and so I highly recommend.
Although the bar is set on a ugly and busy street, when sat at the granite bar with your back to the traffic, looking at the polished mahogany and mirrored back bar, it is easy to forget your location. Harry’s is famous for its cocktails and the lengthy list reflects this with plenty of classic and contemporary libations to tempt.
Lindner Hotel lies a far walk from the centre of town and consequently it’s can be deadly quiet early evening with only a handful of residents enjoying the cocktails. But as night turns to morning the bars live music and late opening hours help fill the place.
